Conclusion
Kong TV is great when it works, one of the problems that have dogged it for some time is the tendency for the add on to become unusable for months at a time and then suddenly get updated and become user-friendly again.
There are better addons out there that tend to be more reliable, as it’s happened more than once with Kong TV.
As an Exodus fork in terms of UI, it is pretty like the original, they have not done any major cosmetic work or improvements on functionality like with Exodus Redux.
But the fact that it hooks into both the IMDB and TMDB database gives Kong TV a big advantage against other add ons. A few use IMDB, but Kong TV is the only one we know if that uses TMDB. That way you can check out a movie beforehand and see if it really is a blockbuster or just another rotten tomato.
The trailers are a nice touch as well. Kong TV would be one of our top Kodi add ons if it could just stay reliable for more than a few months at a time.
