You won’t find a better alternative if you want a web-based free Live TV player. The web browser aspect is unique to HYFY TV.
The best alternative can be split into two camps. Free and paid.
If you want the best free alternative. Then it’s a split between Mobdro and Redbox, both of them offer around 1,000 channels each, but the difference will be that the stability is better. HYFY TV looks ok but the interface is a bit dated and there have been issues with many of the channels in the Live TV 1 section. With both Mobdro and Redbox you’ll tie into a dedicated developer and an application that has a good history. As well as good coverage of TV channels from a wide range of countries including Asia.

HYFY TV is a tidy application, and the web browser really impressed us, but it does look a bit dated, and it seems strange the application is still in its 1st version after 2 years. Seems the developer is still making money from adverts but putting minimal time into making the product better. Apart from adding more channels.
