Previously known as Diamond Dust, The Diamond Build packs a lot of great add ons in a build that’s just over 200MB. Coming in at half the size of many of the bigger builds it makes for a good snappy build on an Nvidia Shield or a well-proportioned build for a lower RAM and storage device like an Amazon Fire Stick.
What is Kodi?
Kodi is your ticket to turning your regular TV into an all in one entertainment system. Simply install it on an Android streaming device like an Amazon Fire device or an Android Box and attack it your TV, giving you access to a world of content and media online.
First developed in 2002, Kodi has been downloaded over 50 million times and is one of the most popular free and legal pieces of media streaming software online. The software is developed and maintained by the XMBC Foundation and features a 10-foot user interface which allows applications on your Android device to be resized on your TV and navigable using a standard TV remote.
Kodi features a modest library of official add ons, but the real gems lie in its unofficial store of thousands of add ons, builds and wizards which give user access to free tv shows, movies, latest releases, live TV and anything else you can think of.
What is a Build?
A build is a quick and easy way for you to get started with Kodi. Saves you the time of searching out individual add ons or learning how to customize Kodi.
Just download one build and get the best working add ons, heaps of features, interchangeable skins and even electronic programming guides for live TV.
What is The Diamond?
The Diamond Build packs a lot of high quality add ons as being low in size. One of its key features is it will automatically find the best working link for your content rather than make you search through endless links.

FAQ
Is it Safe to Use?
Absolutely, The Diamond is still pretty new but has gotten great reviews from a number of trusted sources.
Under its previous name, Diamond has been a trusted source since 2016.
Just make sure you ONLY download the build from the official repository. Avoid third party sites.
Is it Legal or Grey?
The build operates in a grey area as many other builds. Most of the add ons will stream and give access to illegal content which then becomes your choice to access.
Should I Use this App with a VPN?
We always recommend that you use a VPN with The Diamond for a number of reasons:
Firstly, without a VPN, The Diamond may not even work. Also, you’ll find many of the add ons appear dead. There’s nothing wrong with the build or the add ons. Chances are your ISP is blocking them access to the internet and their sources of content online
A VPN helps you to maintain your anonymity and avoid your traffic being logged by your Internet Service Provider
With a VPN your connection will be encrypted and undetectable by your ISP or any other third-party trackers. Your traffic will just look like normally secured packets
Is it Free?
Yes
History
When Was It Released?
The Diamond was released under its new name in 2019, but Diamond Dust has been around since 2016
Best Alternatives
The Diamond covers it all, but if you want a different build with more features or just fancy a change we recommend:
Titanium
No Limits Magic
Diggz
One Nation
Stealth
Lobo
Turbo
If none of the above take your fancy, then you can just browse Google for the best working Builds. There’s always a lot to choose from.
Our Opinion
The Diamond is a great lightweight build with a ton of well-known add ons. The rebrand and re-name mean that developers are still working on it. The auto finds the best link function is worth the download all by itself.
Turbo Build has been making waves since 2017. With an intuitive and easy to use interface, as well as a wide-ranged of updated add ons. It has been a Kodi fan favorite for years.
What is Kodi?
If you haven’t heard of Kodi then you are in for a treat. A 100% free and legal piece of software that can turn your TV into an all in one entertainment center. Store any form of media, watch Live TV, stream movies and listen to music. Kodi opens the door to allow almost any form of media to be played through your big screen TV.
Originally designed in 2002, the software is now on its 18th version and still going strong after 17 years. Run by a dedicated team of developers who work for the XMBC Foundation, Kodi has gone from being a niche program just for the Xbox to one of the most downloaded pieces of software for media playing. Numbering in the tens of millions.
As well as its official library, Kodi has an extensive library of unknown source third party add ons numbering in the thousands. Allowing you to watch the latest movies, TV shows and stream live TV all completely free.
What is a Build?
When using Kodi you could spend hours trawling Google for the 50 best add ons and downloading them one by one.
Or you could just save yourself the time and download one build which comes with all the add ons built-in.
A Build is a pre-programmed package of add ons, skins, features an electronic programming schedules which makes it easy for you to get started on Kodi, without the pain of hours of handpicking each feature and add on.
YOUR INTERNET ACTIVITY IS BEING WATCHED
ReviewVPN cannot attest to the legality, security and privacy of the applications discussed on this site. It is highly recommended that you use a VPN service while streaming or using Kodi.
Currently, your IP 46.229.173.66 is visible to everyone and your Browser is being tracked by Advertisers & ISP Provider.
Your activities are hidden from your ISP, the government, and from the apps you are using.
You can access additional movies and TV streams.
ISP attempts to throttle are thrwarted thus reducing buffering issues.
Geographically restricted content like Netflix and Hulu can be unblocked.
A VPN works be replacing your ISP-assigned IP address and creating an encrypted tunnel. We recommend the no log service offered by IPVanish. It works well on a Firestick and offers the fastest possible speeds.
Turbo Build comes from the Turbo JTV repository and ranks as being one of the smaller builds on Kodi coming in at 260MB. Great for lightweight devices or those with little RAM like the Amazon Fire Stick.

FAQ
Is it Safe to Use?
Turbo Builds is one of the older Wizards around. At 2 years old it’s well respected and has been stable for most of that time.
As one of the older builds your biggest danger would be downloading it from an unofficial repository. Avoid other servers and hosts at all costs and always scan your file with a professional Malware scanner if you have any doubts.
Is it Legal or Grey?
Turbo Build provides a wide range of add ons which allow you to access content that hasn’t been legally distributed.
Though the add ons do not host the files themselves, you use it in the full knowledge that the content falls into a grey area.
We strongly advise you use Turbo Build and anything on Kodi with a VPN active.
Should I Use This App With a VPN?
We love using a VPN for anything we do online, not just Kodi or Turbo Build in particular for a number of reasons:
Without a VPN you are allowing your Internet Service Provider to log all of your traffic and retain it for up to a year. An ISP will also pay close attention to anyone who accesses content which has been banned or flagged
A lot of Kodi’s unofficial add ons will be on a watchlist for distributing content illegally. Without a VPN you will probably find a lot of the add ons don’t work as their IPs have been banned. Or they aren’t stable as the add on rotates IP addresses
A VPN allows you to remain anonymous online and maintain your privacy by hiding your true IP address as well as encrypting your traffic
Is it Free?
Yes

Best Alternatives
Turbo Build covers a lot of what we would want in a great build, luckily there are plenty of great alternatives:
Titanium
No Limits Magic
Diggz
One Nation
Stealth
Lobo
Venom
In the unlikely case that all these builds are down at the same time, just turn to Google or Reddit to find the best working build or check our list of Best Kodi Builds.
Our Opinion
Really versatile Build and has been going for a long time, got a good track record of getting rid of the bloat in updates and keeping only working add ons. A solid build that suits beginners using an Amazon Fire Stick.
Lobo forms part of the One Nation repository which one of the largest numbers of Builds available on Kodi. This build is pretty chunky coming in at 400MB when some slimmer builds can come in at under 200MB. If you have a relatively basic device then you may want to consider a slimmer Build like The Diamond or Turbo Build.
What is Kodi?
Kodi is a free and 100% legal open-source media player, which is feature-rich and history. Since it’s initial development in 2002, Kodi has been downloaded millions of times and become a firm favorite with the streaming community.
Its popularity stems from two main reasons. Firstly, Kodi is really good at what it does. It features a massive library of Codecs which means you can play almost any media file, also it has an inbuild 10-foot user interface meaning you can easily turn your TV into a home movie theatre, simply by downloading Kodi on an Android streaming device and connecting it to your TV.
Secondly, Kodi has a massive library of unofficial add ons, numbering in the thousands. Partly due to its age, it has developed a rich ecosystem of add ons, builds, wizards supported by a legion of hobbyist developers. These add ons give you access to any form of media you can think of. From the latest movie releases to your favorite anime.
What is a Build?
A build is like an all in one software package. Think of it as an Operating System for Kodi. Instead of starting with a blank slate and installing every add on, feature and changing every setting yourself. You just download one build which does that for you.
We recommend Builds if you are just using Kodi for the first time, as it saves time and cuts out a lot of aggravation of hours spent downloading individual items.
What is Lobo?
This build packs a lot of high quality add ons hence it’s large size. One of its key features is it will automatically find the best working link for your content and cycles through dead links.
Lobo Build Features
Wide range of add ons
Not too big ~375MB
Part of One Nation, a mark of quality
Real Debrid compatible

How to Install Lobo Build
Use these simple steps to get up and running with Lobo Build. We recommend you have a working VPN when running Build otherwise some add ons may not work.
Start Kodi from your streaming device
Click Settings, then System
Turn on Unknown sources
Click the back button and then File Manager
Click add source then “Add None”
In the pop-up URL bar type in: http://www.onenation.info/Repo/ (If the URL doesn’t work, then One Nation may be down, use Google to find a working mirror site)
Name the source Lobo
Go back to the Add ons menu
Click the box icon above the video add ons selection on the menu
Click install from Zip file, then install from repository
The installation will take a few minutes then you will get a Build Menu pop up, choose your Build
Dismiss the developer note, and keep the Build’s standard settings
Fresh Install the Build and then restart Kodi
FAQ
Is it Safe to Use?
One Nation is one of the most respected repositories online. Many of their Build make the Top 20 list of Builds for Kodi.
They are also ideal for copycats who want to offer their build links on their websites. Always use the onenation.info repo.
If you doubt the source of your download, then scan it using a professional Virus and Malware scanner like Malwarebytes.
Is it Legal or Grey?
It’s a grey area, but without a VPN many of them add ons won’t work.
Should I Use This App with a VPN?
Though Kodi is 100% legal, many of their unofficial add ons operate in a grey area in terms of copyright law and media distribution laws.
We recommend you use a VPN for a number of reasons:
A VPN keeps your traffic safe and protected. Any connection between your VPN Client and server will be encrypted using military grade 256-bit AES encryption. Which means that your Internet Service Provider cannot block a request which it can’t decrypt
Many of the add ons in any build won’t work if you don’t use a VPN, as most of the URL’s they try to connect to will be blocked by your ISP
You can change your IP and country of origin using a VPN, meaning that any traffic and content streaming cannot be traced back to your home device if your VPN has a solid zero logs policy
Is it Free?
Yes

Some other builds we would recommend:

Turbo
Titanium
No Limits Magic
Other builds you can try as part of the One Nation repository include:
Wario
Kashyykk
White Out
Our Opinion
In summary, Lobo is a decent build but there is a bit of bloat there. Some of the add ons like Incursion has become defunct. Also, as part of the One Build repo, some add ons may get more love than others. Good back up build, but there are better ones out there with less fluff.
The link function though is pure gold, as it saves you the time of having to trawl through dead links.
If you want to bring thousands of TV channels, movies, and tv shows into the comfort of your own home then Kodi or an Android streaming app is the right choice for you. Get the latest content free, and even download it to watch offline.
But sometimes you’re viewing pleasure can be cut short when you trawl endlessly through dead links, slow connection, and poor-quality content.
Luckily a few companies have made it their mission to deliver the best quality links from hosting providers around the world.
Companies like All Debrid
But over time you might get frustrated with endless dead links, content that is low quality or downloads that either means you must click through several adverts or are just slow.
That’s where All Debrid comes in.
YOUR INTERNET ACTIVITY IS BEING WATCHED
ReviewVPN cannot attest to the legality, security and privacy of the applications discussed on this site. It is highly recommended that you use a VPN service while streaming or using Kodi.

All Debrid offers a 7-day free trial service where you can enjoy regular download speeds during happy hours which are nominated off-peak times.
They have 3 one-off payment plans:
30 days: 3.99 Euros
90 days: 8.99 Euros
180 days: 15.99 Euros per month
Payment Methods?

You can pay via:

For anonymity, we recommend using Bitcoin
Is it Legal?
All Debrid just like Kodi is legal software. All the file providers that they use are also fully legal. What the disclaimer states is that if you choose to download something which you clearly know is illegal then they cannot be held accountable.
As a hosting provider, All Debrid can’t police every single download link that is provided by users online and so gives itself plausible deniability.
They are based in France so would face greater scrutiny than some other companies, but by acting as a third party linking illegal download sites and users, they have been able to operate successfully since 2011.
How Do I Use It?
All Debrid has a free option to trial out the service at a limited time, which is more than the other big providers give. Still with 30 days starting from as little as 4 Euros they are worth a trial. But unlike Real Debrid and Premiumize, it’s worth checking if they are compatible with you add on before paying for it
Go to: https://alldebrid.com/ and pay for your subscription. Once your account has been paid for you can either download the plugin if you want to use the app in browser.
More than likely you will want to synchronize your account with your Android Tv add on or Kodi.
Each application is different so follow their user manual, but below we provide the steps to take for setting up All Debrid on Kodi:
Set up an All Debrid account and pay for a subscription
Have a Kodi add on already installed like Exodus Redux
Launch Kodi
Go to Settings (the gear icon)
Click system
At the bottom of the menu, you will see “Standard” next to a gear icon. Click it twice until it changes to “Advanced”
Click Add ons then Manage dependencies
Choose Resolve URL
Click configure
Click Universal Resolvers and under All Debrid click priority
Change priority from 100 to 90 (This means any links given for content will place All Debrid links at the top of the list if they are available)
Click OK, then the configure button again
Click Universal Resolvers and turn on the All Debrid Enabled toggle to on (You can also enable torrent support if you plan on downloading content) followed by “ReAuthorize my Account”
Write down the code that appears in a new Window
Go to “www.real-debrid.com/device and type in the authorization code you were just given
You will now receive an authorized message on Kodi
Repeat steps 9-19 for URL Resolver
What are the Alternatives?
The most popular alternative is Real Debrid, you can access 50+ hosting providers. So, they offer fewer providers, but don’t have as many streaming channels on demand.
Premiumize is a great package but much more expensive. Their yearly plan would cost almost 5 times as much. Premiumize is for users who really want to get the most out a torrent provider. To give you an idea you can download 1TB with Premiumize which is probably well out of the scope of most amateur users.
For a regular user who just wants quick links, quality, and ease of use we would recommend Real Debrid which gives the same functionality and has been around almost if All Debrid.
We recommend installing an active VPN on your device. This is to keep your connection encrypted and anonymous. We recommend IPVANISH VPN.

4. Click on Download
5. Wait to download.
6. Wait to install.
7. Click on Open.

Is It Worth It?
All Debrid has got great support and is compatible with a wide number of add ons but not as many as Real Debrid which the industry standard is.
All Debrid has been around since 2011 but doesn’t get as much talk as Real Debrid or Premiumize. Like Real Debrid what holds it back is their customer service which is pretty much non-existent. But considering the price that you are paying that can’t come as much of a surprise.
All Debrid also may not be compatible with as many add ons as Real Debrid or Premiumize.
Ola TV has been around since 2017 and leads the way when it comes to the sheer range of channels you can access through the app. With a selection of over 50,000 channels from all over the world, it is one of the best live streaming applications out there. Particularly for those who want TV from more obscure countries like Albania, or struggle to find channels on other providers like Mobdro and Red Box.
The application gets frequent updates and is now in its fifth iteration, also many users have returned after it turned down the frequency of adverts that plagued the first 3 versions.
What Does it Do?
Ola TV works just like most Android TV streaming applications, but instead of collating links for films and TV shows it only concentrates on Live TV links. The app’s web scrapers traverse the internet looking for working TV links which are then provided within the application
Ola TV does not host any of the content itself, it only provides links to third parties meaning you may have to cycle through a couple of links before finding one that works, but it’s scrapers are pretty reliable and refresh daily.
What Platforms Does it Work on?
Ola TV works on all Android-based devices
Features
Clean and easy to use tile-based user interface
Lightweight application
50,000 channels to choose from
Enormous range of countries
The software has been adapted to reduce lag when buffering live TV

Create a favorites tab of your chosen TV shows to manage your own personal TV channel list
Compatible with a massive range of media players including MX Player
Note: ReviewVPN.com does not host this APK file. It is hosted on Archive.org.
Pros and Cons
Pros
The sheer size and number of channels that it offers is unparalleled, as well as the countries
Developed by IPTV Droid who have made a name for themselves by specifically developing IPTV apps like Relax TV
Easy to navigate and find channels
Navigate by section, country, genre, and even location by city
The favorites tab makes it easy for you to create a personal viewing list instead of having to search for the same channel each time
Great uptime and long history of stability
Still supported by the development team with decent ad revenue meaning that should continue
Specially adapted for Live TV meaning you would spend less time waiting for it to buffer than watching directly from a link
Variety of channels means if you find a link that doesn’t work they will always be something else similar
Cons
Specifically targeted for Live TV, not on-demand movies and tv shows
No active community available on Reddit or Facebook
Ola TV did have a repetition for too many ads which seems to have gotten better with the new updates
Only use a Live Streaming app if you have an unlimited data plan
The application may slow down mobile phones
No PVR functionality
What Is the Ola TV Pin Code
If Ola TV asks for a pin code, enter:
874452
Versions before 9 never asked for a pin code, but version 9 asks for one.

Yes, the application is widely used and well-reviewed and has been stable for a number of years. We always recommend that you download the application either within the Amazon App Store or from the official website link below.

Let’s face it, Ola TV is just as grey as the rest of the streaming applications out there. You can access all the premium TV providers from ABC and Sky to Netflix and Hulu, so they will pretty hot on shutting down streams whenever they can.

We know it was developed by the IPTV Droid team who have released numerous IPTV streaming apps.
Should I Use This App With a VPN?
You should always use a VPN with Ola TV. Media companies are really hot on blocking companies that are allowing users to stream premium content for free. Sky, Virgin, and ABC will shut down streams as soon as they are detected, as well as active try to track users who are using illegal streaming software.
Using a VPN, you can change your home IP address and also make sure that your connection and browsing history is encrypted. This means that your data cannot be snooped by any third parties not even your ISP won’t know that you are using Ola TV.
Internet Service Providers are legally obliged to record people who try to access pirated content, this could lead to your IP being blocked, a cease and desist letter or even a fine.

Best Alternatives
There aren’t any apps out there with the same range of channels, but Mobdro and Red Box are both solid applications offering around 1,000 channels each which are stable and lag-free.
Our Opinion
Ola TV is a great app, with an unparalleled range of channels. One for everyone to have in their IPTV app library. The adverts might get a bit annoying, but it’s good to subscribe to an application that has a sustainable revenue stream, as the developers are more likely to keep it up and running, rather than abandoning it for a new project.
Using Kodi to watch your favorite TV shows and films is great and one of the best ways to access the latest releases for free from your home TV.
But over time you might get frustrated with endless dead links, content that is low quality or downloads that either means you must click through several adverts or are just slow.
That’s where Premiumize comes in.

Think of Premiumize like a swiss army knife of tools that you might need when streaming online.
It has a wide range of functions:
Provides high-quality links from recognized hosting providers. When you sync your Premiumize account with your Kodi Add on or Android TV application, these links are always shown first when available. Meaning you can always access high-quality links and downloads
If you like to torrent or want to download something to watch for free later, you can copy and paste a torrent magnet link and turn it into a direct download
Offers USENET access. USENET predates the internet, first invented in 1979, it is a decentralized network of computers and users that share information, downloads, and links. Favored by those wanting anonymity and access to content not widely available online
Access other hosting provider that is trusted and provide a fast download and streaming service so you can avoid queuing, adverts, long wait times or just endless dead links
Inbuilt VPN service to encrypt your connection
Download up to 1000GB (1TB) of data each month
Unlock region-restricted content using their GeoIP unlock service built within their VPN
SLL privacy protection
Use 10 devices at the same time
Use Premiumize’s own high-speed servers to download and stream torrents
For anonymity we recommend using a cryptocurrency, all packages come with the same headline features:
1 TB cloud storage
Access to 35+ streaming and file host services
Protected Torrent and Usenet access
Connect to 10 devices at the same time
Built-in VPN
Proxy servers to circumvent GeoIP

Premiumize doesn’t have any free options and honestly, the price is so low and the value so great that it’s well worth just trying it even for 14 days.
Once you use it, you will realize why paying a bit of money can be so useful.
Go to: https://www.premiumize.me/ and pay for your subscription. Once your account has been paid for you can either download the plugin if you want to use the app in browser.
More than likely you will want to synchronize your account with your Android Tv add on or Kodi.

At the bottom of the menu you will see “Standard” next to a gear icon. Select it twice until it changes to “Advanced”
Click Add ons
Click Manage dependencies
Choose Resolve URL
Click configure
Click Universal Resolvers and under Premiumize click priority
Change priority from 100 to 90 (This means any links given for content will place Premiumize links at the top of the list if they are available)
Click the configure button again
Select Universal Resolvers and turn on the Premiumize Enabled toggle to on (You can also enable torrent support if you plan on downloading content)
Click “ReAuthorize my Account”
Write down the code that appears in a new Window
Go to “www.real-debrid.com/device and type in the authorization code you were just given
You will now receive an authorized message on Kodi
Repeat steps 9-19 for URL Resolver
What are the Alternatives?
The most popular alternative is Real Debrid, you can access 50+ hosting providers. But it does lack a lot of Premiumize’s features which is why it’s much cheaper coming at 3 Euros for 15 days. But you won’t get access to Usenet files, cloud storage or a built-in VPN. Read our article on Real Debrid.
Another alternative is All Debrid which offers similar features to Real Debrid as well as a 7-day free trial. Read our article on All Debrid.
Is it Worth it?
Premiumize has got great support and is compatible with a wide number of add ons but not as many as Real Debrid which the industry standard is.
What we would say is that accessing Usenet files for a beginner may be unduly complicated. Premiumize is a service for people who are familiar with Kodi know what they are doing and intend on downloading a lot of content. As indicated by the 1TB a month limit.
The service is expensive but worthwhile to the right type of user, but as a beginner better to go for something cheap and easy like Real Debrid which has all the functionality you will ever need.
In the ecosystem, Premiumize is exactly as its name suggests, a premium service for heavy-duty users. Its VPN is ok at best and there are better VPN providers out there for less money like IPVanish, ExpressVPN, and NordVPN.
Kodi Troubleshooting Tips for Buffering, Crashing, and More
Kodi is the best all in one open-source media player and entertainment hub out there. With a 10-foot user interface allowing it to be used seamlessly on your Smart TV and an easy to use Graphical user Interface (GUI) Kodi offers thousands of add ons and builds mean you can access an unlimited number of Live TV streams, tv shows, films, and anything else you can think of.
Going since 2003, Kodi has had 500 developers contribute to its development, and has 60 regular developers.
But with so many add ons, options and configurations you are bound to come across problems. Here we show you how to troubleshoot the most common problems you’ll come across with Kodi.
Always Use a VPN with Kodi
Kodi is free and legal open source software, but if you want to use some of their most popular addons you will find many don’t work without a VPN.
These add ons give you access to a lot of content that is in breach of their copyright and distribution terms.
Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) works actively with large media companies to block any links which work back to distributors of questionable content.
A VPN works by creating an encrypted connection between your device and its server. This helps to obscure or change your IP as well as hide the destination as well as the contents of your data.
Your ISP is then unable to block a connection or see through the encryption.
So, before you do anything else, make sure you have downloaded and started a VPN on the device you are using Kodi with.
We recommend IPVanish.
Common Kodi Problems
The following list gives solutions to the main troubleshooting problems for Kodi and detailed fixes.
But always remember that Google is your friend.
Most questions can be answered by first reading through the Kodi first time user guide on their Wiki page.
If that doesn’t work, simply type your problem into Google and you are almost certain to find someone who has had the same problem and comes up with a solution.
Still, stuck? Then consider filing an official bug report on their Git Hub page, you can find the procedure for logging bugs here and also see if it is an issue other users are having.
Make sure that you follow the instructions outlined and have done everything you can to check the problem yourself. Also, remember that developers aren’t on standby to fix issues within the hour so be prepared to wait a few days!
Kodi Won’t Start
Kodi is stable, so the chances are if Kodi won’t start you have 2 possible solutions
Make Sure You Have The Latest Version of Kodi Installed
The XMBC team is constantly updating the software and releasing patches and bug fixes. Always make sure you download it from the official website.
Also, that you have downloaded the right version for your operating system. The same goes for running automatic updates for Kodi
Download The Latest C++ Distributable Version
If you are using a new Windows 10 PC to run Kodi there is a small chance that it doesn’t have the latest version of Visual C++ Distributable which you can find on Microsoft’s official website here:
Kodi will normally ask to download any missing dependencies or software that it needs when first installed
Kodi Keeps Crashing
Once you’ve got Kodi up and running. If it keeps crashing, pausing for long periods of time, or just freezing up altogether even when you restart the device then the problem could lie with the hardware itself.
This could also be down to a fault addon or dependency you installed from an untrusted source. There are 3 solutions with the third only to be used if all else fails
Clear cache
Kodi can stream video seamlessly by caching (storing it on the RAM or short-term memory) Problem is if your device has little storage then the cache can quickly fill up. If you find your video starts to get jumpy, keeps freezing or a warning pops up telling you about a shortage of RAM then it’s time to clear the cache.
Android Boxes/ Amazon Fire Series/ Nvidia Shield TV
On Android devices, you can do this through your devices.
Go to
Apps > Kodi > Click on “Clear Cache”
Windows/Mac/Linux
On non-Android devices, you will need to install an addon.
Kodi doesn’t have this inbuilt feature, so install Indigo Add on, searching the add on a name within the Kodi search bar.
Then go to
Maintenance Tools > Clear Cache.
Once done restart Kodi
Disable Hardware Acceleration
If the device that you are using has an average or basic graphics card, then it may be working overtime to give you video in the highest quality. This perpetually causes the device to freeze.
You can do this from the Kodi home screen, by clicking the gear icon in the settings menu.
Go to Player Settings>Gear Icon (Click 3 times to turn from Basic to Expert> Video> Allow Hardware acceleration – DXVA2 > Click Disable
Install Again
If all else fails and Kodi keeps crashing or freezing, then chances are you have installed something which is messing with the software. You can either use Indigo Tools Restore option in the maintenance tab to revert to factory settings. Or you can uninstall Kodi and reinstall it from the official Kodi website
Kodi Failed to Install a Dependency
This is a pretty common error with Kodi. You generally get this when you are installing an add on. Add ons are an accumulation of programs and if one is missing the whole addon won’t work.
Sometimes add ons are poorly made, but if it’s recognized and highly rated then you should try and walk through each one of these 3 solutions to get rid of the error:
Install the Dependencies Manually
There are a number of important dependencies that are required for most add ons, luckily you can simply go to http://fusion.tvaddons.co/ and install them manually using the following steps
From the Kodi Home Screen:
Click Gear Icon> File Manager> Add Source> Input the URL: http://fusion.tvaddons.co/ >Name the source TV Addons and click OK
You then need to press backspace and go back to Kodi’s home screen:
Click Addons> Open Package icon (top left corner) > Next > Install from Zip File
Then,
Open Tv Addons > Open the Kodi Scripts folder> Click on all the Zip files to allow them to install
You will now have all the important dependencies installed on Kodi and your Add On should now run
Rebuild the Database
This is not as complicated as it sounds but is better suited for new users, rather than those who already have many add ons installed. Deleting dependencies will also delete the related add ons.
Restart Kodi with Admin privileges > Click Gear Icon on Home Screen > File Manager > Profile Directory > Database > Right click on the file called “Addon27.db” and click delete
Now try and reinstall your addon.
Kodi Add On Not Working
Firstly, always make sure your VPN is connected before starting Kodi. Many add ons which are not endorsed by Kodi won’t work without an encrypted and anonymized connection.
If that still doesn’t work, then try the following from the home screen:
Go to Add ons section > Video Add ons > Find the add on that’s not working > Right-click and click Information > Click update
If the Add on can’t be updated, then it’s worth Googling to see if the addon is down or having issues. Add ons do have a habit of having their servers blocked or taken down intermittently, once you get used to Kodi you’ll get used to some add ons being more temperamental than others.
Kodi won’t connect you to a source
Sometimes you click on a link to a stream and it just doesn’t play and you get a black screen, there are 3 reasons, not all of which can be fixed:
Restart Wi-Fi
Check your internet connection and restart your Wi-Fi also see if you can access the internet on another device to check your ISP isn’t having connectivity issues. Always worth restarting your router and then restart Kodi just to check.
Use a VPN
Some content uses GeoIP tracking. This means that if you aren’t in the right country it will block access. Google the addon and country and then use your VPN to reconnect to a server-based in that country. Restart Kodi and try again.
Deadlink / Addon Isn’t Working
One of the biggest problems with add ons is sometimes they just stop working. You can always check online to see if other users are having the same problem. Also, if an add on is scraping sites and links, many will stop working overtime. Try a different link or add on if you keep having issues with the same add on.
Kodi Won’t Let Me Watch My Video in 4K or HD
Ultra-high-quality media is only as good as the device playing it. Some devices like the basic Fire Stick may either buffer high-quality videos slowly or not play them at all. Always check first if your device is compatible. If it is, then it might be worth downloading a 4K add on like Nole Cinema, Scrubs v2, Exodux Redux, or Release BB
Kodi Buffering Issues
Another pretty common issue is that your video will play but keep buffering and be quite slow. There are several different fixes to work through for this:
Go to Apps > Kodi > Click on “Clear Cache”
Windows/Mac/Linux
On non-Android devices, you will need to install an addon.
Kodi doesn’t have this inbuilt feature, so install Indigo Add on, searching the add on a name within the Kodi search bar.
Then go to Maintenance Tools > Clear Cache.
Once done restart Kodi
Update Kodi and the Add ons
Check you have the latest version of Kodi, if yes then make sure the add on you are using is running the latest version:
Go to Add ons section > Video Add ons > Find the add on that’s not working > Right-click and click Information > Click update
Check AutoPlay
Some Add ons will automatically play the first link, which may be dead or be low speed, hence the constant buffering.
So, try to find a working link by clicking on the menu and going to a list of links. Try a few and see if you still get the same problem
Uninstall non-working Add ons
As we’ve covered before finding a working Add on can sometimes get frustrating. If you consistently get buffering on all the videos in that addon it might be time to move on and find a replacement
Check Your Internet Speed
Some ISP throttles their internet speeds, this is likely to happen if you consistently stream and use lots of bandwidth without a VPN. Run https://www.speedtest.net/ and see what kind of speeds you are getting.
A normal video can play seamlessly at 3MBps, HD at 5MBps, and Ultra HD at 25Mbps.
The Amazon Firestick and the only Fire Tv series have brought online tv to millions of households. Also popular among the streaming community because it unlocks the potential to use thousands of free streaming application which allow you to watch the latest movies and TV shows.
But before you think about installing any apps which may operate in a great are of legality when it comes to copyright infringement you should install a VPN first
Why Use a VPN on Firestick ?
A Virtual Private Network (VPN) helps to keep your browsing and your data anonymous and encrypted.
The client is installed on your FireStick and when activated connects to your chosen VPN’s DNS Server. All data flowing between the client and the server is encrypted using military grade encryption. This means your Internet Service Provider (ISP) can see that you are using the internet, but not what you are using it for.
Many popular Android TV streaming applications like Zion TV and Netflix have a questionable quality when it comes to legality. Though they act as third party libraries, using scrapers to accumulate libraries of tens of thousands of links to popular media titles. These links will lead to source where copyrighted material is being pirated.
Since Napster and early 2000’s big media companies have pressured ISP’s to do more about monitoring internet activity and stopping illegal downloading and streaming.
In most countries, ISP’s by law have to record if someone is using their connection to stream or download material which may be in breach of copyright. This could include recording your name, blacklisting your IP, throttling (slowing down) your internet connection, sending you a cease and desist letter and in extreme cases handing you over to copyright lawyers who may press for a fine or even jail time.
A VPN can help keep your activity online safe, by encrypting your data and altering your IP allowing you to use any application you want on your FireStick safe in the knowledge you are under the radar of your ISP.
Let’s have a look at our top 3 choices for the best VPN on FireStick
3 Best VPN’s for FireStick
IPVanish

IPVanish has built a reputation as one of the top Tier 1 providers in the industry. With a fully integrated service which means that the company owns all of it’s own infrastructure. Meaning that all their servers are in house and therefore not susceptible to data leaks or third party influence. Also they are one of the few providers that have a toll free number, as well as live chat and a ticket system. Meaning that you can contact anyone anytime you have a problems
They have a huge range with access to 40,000+ IP addresses in 60+ countries. IP’s are shared between users meaning that no-ones data or browsing activity can be tracked or attributed to any individual. Meaning that in the slim chance you’re your IP is tracked there is way that your traffic can be distinguished from anyone else, securing your anonymity when streaming.
They also have a number of great additional functions including an easy to use mobile application. You can test the speed and latency and servers within the application to find the best server speed for you as well as automatically secure any public WiFi connection.
They embrace streaming and torrenting with unlimited bandwidth as well as a solid zero logs policy which means that your activity will remain anonymous even when scrutinised by a government agency.
They offer 256 bit AES encryption which is the same level of security used by the US military meaning that your data is secured and unbreakable.
Annual packages start from as little as $6.49 per month with a 7-day money back guarantee, you can also connect up to 10 devices simultaneously meaning you can have multiple FireSticks devices connected and secured using the same account.
ExpressVPN
900+ reviews with an average rating of 3.9/5
ExpressVPN is the word on everyone’s lips when they think about the best providers in the industry. Just like IPVanish they are a Tier 1 VPN provider, owning all of their infrastructure in house including their DNS servers. Which reduced the risk of leaks and means you data is secure point to point. They are trusted by millions of users around the world including China which has one of the strictest censorship policies globally.
With 3,000+ servers in 90+ countries, ExpressVPN has one of the largest server parks of any VPN company, with many of the servers congifured for high speed. They welcome P2P file sharing and streaming and have built a reputation on stability and also speed. Their VPN servers offer some of the fastest speeds, and are consistent wherever you are in the world. Using some VPN’s can slow down your connection but up to 30% but with ExpressVPN it may fall as little as 5%.
They use cutting edge 256 bit AES encryption and also their in house servers use special scrambling technologies meaning you are completely anonymous and can even use your Amazon Fire Stick in countries like Iran and China which ban many outside websites and links. You can also test local server speeds before connecting to find the best server, or just use their algorithm to connect to the best match.

Cyberghost
130+ review with an average rating of 3.7/5
With over 30 million users, Cyberghost has fast become one of the most popular VPN’s online. It’s also one of the few VPN companies that doesn’t keep it’s history and team shrouded in secret, and you can check out profile for their 70+ strong team on their website.
Cyberghost is favoured by those who want to Torrent and carry out fast P2P file sharing, as it has the second largest server park in the VPN industry. With 3,700+ servers in 60+ countries, and over 1,000 of these have been configured solely for P2P file sharing.
Like IPVanish they also use IP Sharing which enables multiple users to be logged under the same IP. Which means even if a skilled third party tracks to back to their IP it is impossible to attribute traffic to one individual user. Premium Cyberghost customers can also access their No Spy Servers which are obfuscated like Express VPN’s in house servers. Meaning that your traffic appear just like normal encrypted online traffic and is almost undetectable by even the most sensitive network sensors.
They also have an inbuilt ad blocker which is particularly useful when using free application which generate revenue by endless ads. The proprietary software can also be used as a malware scanner and blocker of malicious websites. Really useful if you are downloading unknown source applications.
Cyberghost is most well known for having some of the lowest prices in the industry. Because of their size they are able to offer rock bottom prices. Prices start as low as $2.10 per month for multi-year plans, you can connect up to 7 devices at the same time and enjoy an industry leading 45 day money back guarantee.
Free Options
Though you may be thinking to yourself why do I even need a to pay for a VPN at all. Why not just get one of the many free VPN’s advertised ? Well simply it pays to pay. Premium VPN’s offer better services because they have the money needed to maintain their infrastructure. Here we cover some good free options from paid providers as well as 2 free application to avoid.
Top 3 VPNs for Firestick / Fire TV
Windscribe VPN
Windscribe is a lovely feature rich VPN that has one of the highest number of additional features and security features of any VPN provider out there.
Though many of these services are only available to their paying client, they also offer a decent free service. They are tailored towards P2P and streaming and you can gain access to 11 of their servers based across the world and receive respectable speeds of about 30MBps.
The company is based in Canada and has built a solid reputation for privacy.
You can connect 1 device at a time on their free plan and gain access to 10GB every month of free data. This is actually a more generous free data plan than any other provider around, but it’s still only roughly the same as 12-15 hours of viewing time per month.
TunnelBear VPN
Tunnel Bear is another old hand that has been around for years. The options for their free service are pretty limited. You can get 500MB ( yes, a month) and boost that to 1.5GB if you Tweet about them, but that equates to about 2 hours of streaming a month.
You can connect to 1 of 22 servers using 1 connection. Plus Tunnel Bear will only work for streaming. They don’t allow P2P or Torrenting
hide.me VPN
Hide.me will offer a slightly better data plan. With 2GB of data per month and 1 simultaneous connection per month. Which works out to about 3 hours of streaming time a month. Again like Tunnel Bear they don’t allow P2P or Torrents on their free service.
You can choose from 3 locations to connect
Though all of these providers offer decent paid service, their free service are limited by data and the speed will be less than you can expect for premium as your traffic will take lowest priority. If you are serious about using your Fire Stick even for say 10 hours per week. You won’t get a free VPN that offers you the speed and data allowance that you need without paying for it.
Which VPN’s should you avoid
There are a number of VPN’s to avoid. Some are providers that are ok to use, but just don’t have the money or time to invest in getting an Amazon App. These include ibVPN, Buffered, Hidemyass, Ivacy VPN, Torguard, Private Internet Access and Norton VPN
There are 2 applications we also want to highlight that are indicative of the market. They aren’t actually VPN’s but provide misleading information. Let’s face it, I it says it’s free and it’s a VPN they have to be making money somehow and generally that’s either adverts or logging and selling on your data to advertisers.
Blokada
Blokada is actually a nice piece of open source software. Acting as an ad blocker and also as a DNS server. Which means that it spoofs your IP showing you as connecting from different countries.
DNS are great for accessing things like US Netflix. However, they don’t give the security of a VPN as your connection is not encrypted. Crucially this means that if you use an android streaming application they will be able to monitor your traffic.
Great for accessing georgraphically restricted content but useless for anonymity and privacy.
X-VPN
90+ reviews with an average rating of 2.6/5
X VPN offers a premium service and advertises itself as a free proxy service. Free proxies are to be treated with caution. As this could be an end point coming out of the port of an unknown computer. Which means that your traffic can be traced and also can be infected with malware.
A lot of free VPN’s are simply free proxies. Like DNS they simply help you to show up as accessing the website in a different country. But it doesn’t offer any anonymity or security. Even worse horror stories of Hola VPN who have gone on to sell residential proxies for commercial use.
How do you install a VPN on Amazon Firestick
Like the Google Play and Apple App store, installing an Amazon App is really straightforward.
Connect your Amazon Fire device to your TV
Navigate to the Amazon App Store
Browse for the app you want to download
Download and install
Click and Go!
How can I install a VPN not in the App store
Many providers don’t have an app in the Amazon store as it’s still pretty small compared to Google and Amazon.
Any app can be downloaded on your computer as an .apk file (Your Amazon Fire Stick is an Android device). You then sideload it using an Android emulator.
Alternatively simply download “Downloader” on the Amazon App Store. This allows you to navigate to the web and download and install .apk files.
iPhones are great until you want to install a third-party application which either isn’t in the Apple App Store, or their certificate is not supported by Apple.
Then you either need to find an alternative or if you want to say put in a trusted Android TV streaming app, or simply an app that chooses not to use the App store then it’s time to investigate jailbreaking your phone.
Jailbreaking these days is easy and straight forward. Follow our simple step by step guide to install the two best jailbreaking programmes around now for the latest version of iOS.
What is Jailbreaking?
iPhone’s usage is heavily restricted by Apple’s operating system iOS. It gives you great functionality but also controls what can and cannot be used on your iPhone. Unlike Linux which is open ended and highly compatible with third party applications, Apple want to use their software only.
Jailbreaking modifies your phone by allowing to run unsigned code and access the root file system. Essentially giving your super administrator privileges. Also, any apps which Apple’s developer certificate don’t have aren’t featured in the App store.
This means that you can download and run any applications, of course it also increases the risk of your phone being infected with malware if you are not careful.
Once you jailbreak your iPhone you can gain access to unofficial App stores the biggest of which is known as Cydia.
Cydia is an accumulation of free tweaks, apps, themes and much more. Created in 2008 by Jay Freeman it has become the unofficial store of choice for app developers who want to make their programmes available. It’s worth noting many of these apps are unauthenticated and you should always make sure you download from a trusted source that you have verified or run a Malware scanner on any downloads.
Different Types of Jailbreaking
There are four types of jailbreak:
Tethered: The least desirable of all the type, it requires you to connect your phone to a PC every time you restart so that the jailbreak programme can be rerun. Without it your phone won’t work. Tethered jailbreaking is worth avoiding because if your phone restarts while your out and about it just becomes an expensive brick
Semi- Tethered: Your phone can reboot, but there will some functions which may not work until you connect it to a PC and rerun the jailbreak programme. The lack of functionality varies depending on the programme. Again, worth avoiding as your phone may have reduced functionality and not be usable if you get caught short away from a computer
Semi-Untethered: Good news is, you don’t need access to a PC when you reboot your phone, but you will need to rerun the jailbreak app on your phone to get everything working again. Most jailbreaks fall into this category
Untethered: The Holy Grail of jailbreaks and increasingly rare these days. Your phone can be rebooted at will and never has to be reconfigured with the jailbreak programme. The reason it has become rare since iOS 9.3.4 is the increasing number of security features built into iOS which reinitialise upon reboot
The Difference Between Jailbreaking and Unlocking
Jailbreaking is often confused with unlocking. Unlocking an iPhone simply means that it is no longer bound to a carrier. For example, a Spring iPhone will only accept a Spring sim card, but an unlocked iPhone can be bound to any carrier.
You can install an app through Cydia when you jailbreak your phone to then unlock it. So, if you want to unlock your phone you can save yourself the money of taking it to a shop and just do it yourself.
Why Would I Want to Jailbreak my iPhone?
The simplest reason is you want to do something which iOS in its current format won’t let you. From changing the user interface of your phone, to running an application that doesn’t have an Apple Developer certificate.
Though of course app stores like Cydia will have several pirated and illegal or dangerous apps. There are also plenty of apps that just aren’t allowed on the Apple App Store because of their terms of use. One popular reason is wanting to install Android or iOS TV streaming app which isn’t mainstream.
Jailbreaking gives you more options, while still allowing you to use the Apple App store as normal.
Just bear in mind that when you update your iOS you will need to download a new jailbreak; plus, modern jailbreak apps will need to be re-run every time you reboot your iPhone.
Is Jailbreaking Legal?
Yes! There has been a lot of misinformation over the years about jailbreaking, but truthfully most government simply state that jailbreaking is only illegal if used to pirate copyrighted materials.
Quite like Kodi in many ways. The application itself is legal, what you do with the application may not be.
Does Jailbreaking Void my iPhone’s Warranty?
No! Again, this is another common piece of misinformation.
Don’t get us wrong, if you try to use the Apple App Store to communicate with Apple Customer Support or ask for a warranty while your phone is showed to be jail broken your request would be refused.
Apple are clear than any hacking or changing of the iOS software invalidates the end user agreement and your warranty.
But a simple solution is prior to asking for help or taking your phone to an Apple store, just restore the phone to its factory settings.
Could Jailbreaking Make My Phone Unusable?
Highly unlikely but possible. We list several great programmes for jailbreaking which have been tried and tested.
Just a computer, a badly written app does have the potential to render your iPhone unusable. In extreme cases.
But like any kind of major system alteration that’s why you should always verify the source and read extensively on the programme before using it.
Don’t believe the scare stories of people complaining that their phones have been turned into unusable bricks when they tried to jailbreak it. Chances are pretty good they downloaded crappy software, or they just weren’t smart enough to do a little research and follow many of the easy guides around for jailbreaking iPhones.
Does One Programme Work for All iPhones?
No. There is no one “best” programme to jailbreak iPhones. Every time their iOS update there is a scramble from companies to create a jailbreak that can work with the new iOS and its operating system protection.
Another important point to remember is that jailbreaks are generally free. If you find an app that promises to unlock any pone for $X that you should think “scam”
Developers may ask for donations but remember to check our best jailbreaking programmes first.
But if we had to pick one that is most up to date and being updated consistently including working with the latest iOS we would pick unc0ver by pwn20wndstuff, whose Git Hub repository can be found here: https://github.com/pwn20wndstuff/Undecimus/releases
Also, Chimera is pretty cutting edge. These are the only 2 contenders who have successful and stable jailbreaks for the latest version of iOS.
Best Jailbreaking Programme by iOS
iOS 12.2-12.3
uncOver: Now working for the most recent releases of iOS, exploiting the tfp0 exploit. Being consistently updated as recently as this week. Jailbreak works in less than 2 seconds
Chimera: Awesome app and development team with skin in the game. Currently in Beta for 12.3, but has a stable version for 12.2
iOS 12.0-12.1.2
unc0ver: Works on all devices including the A12 and A12X chip and is recommended for iPhone X. Stable version available.
Chimera: Stable version working on all devices including A12 and A12X chip. Recommended for all iPhone X devices and latest iPad Pro
Other Applications and Older iOS Versions
There are tonnes of other apps out there, but none as good as unc0ver and Chimera for the best, quickest and most stable jailbreaks. All are semi-untethered so require you to rerun the application once you.
Other recommended applications for older iOS versions include:
iOS 11.0-11.4.1
unc0ver, Electra1141
iOS 10.0-10.3.3
TotallyNotSpyware, doubleh3lix, Meridian, h3lix
If you have an iOS version earlier than 10.0 chances are lots of stuff isn’t working, so just upgrade to the latest version of iOS. It’s worth noting that iOS 13 is in Beta and there are no known jailbreaks for it. iOS 12.3 is the sweet spot.
How to Jailbreak your iPhone
Let’s go through the steps to jailbreak your iPhone using one of these two apps. A word of caution if you are not technology savvy. We would not recommend you jailbreak the phone you use every day. It may pay to try to jailbreak an older iPhone first, as it can affect the functionality of other applications on your phone.
Unc0ver
You’re going to need an internet connected computer and an iPhone USB Cable
Before connecting your iPhone turn off Find my iPhone as well as the need to enter a passcode
Launch Cydia Impactor on your computer
Using the USB cable connect your phone to your computer
Cydia impactor should recognise that your device is connected, if it cannot be found you may need to check your settings to allow your computer to “Trust” the new device
Drag the downloaded .ipa file into Cydia Impactor
Enter your Apple ID when prompted and then sign in using your Apple ID password
Cydia Impactor will then begin sideloading unc0ver onto your phone

A word of Warning
Whether you go on to use Sileo or Chimera App Store bear in mind that there are thousands of malicious applications available. Always proceed with caution and read extensive reviews on Reddit or online before installing these apps.
As they have not been Apple Developer signed you become increasingly vulnerable to malicious software being installed.
We recommend using Malwarebytes to scan any downloads which you do not trust.

Considered the application isn’t even a year old, it has made rapid traction since 2018 and is now being mentioned in the same sentence as CyberFlix.

Currently, your IP 46.229.173.66 is visible to everyone and your Browser is being tracked by Advertisers & ISP Provider.
Your activities are hidden from your ISP, the government, and from the apps you are using.

ISP attempts to throttle are thrwarted thus reducing buffering issues.

History
How Long Has It Been Around?
According to TV Zion’s sub reddit, a thread from the developer shows that amazingly Zion has only been around since September 2018
Is It a Terrarium Clone?
No
What Is the Development Team Like?
The entire app is run by a developer team of 1. A guy based in Asia doing it in his spare time. Recently he hit the news on some sites because he estimated that 35% of his users were using a modded premium account. Meaning they get all the functions without paying. As he rightly points out if this number increases the server will overload.
But the irony is not lost, when a developer who has written an app specialized in pirating materials, then complains about being pirated.
Best Alternatives
Mentioned in the same sentence. Tea TV, Apollo TV, and Cinema HD. There are a number of similar applications in the same style of TV Zion, though admittedly few which are offering the same functionality and frequency of updates.
Our Opinion
Though some would disagree we think that TVZion is really best in class when it comes to Terrarium and Kodi alternatives. It has many features that even good providers like Cyberflix cannot offer.
The paid feature is super cheap and gives you some really cool functionality including Auto Next and AutoPlay as well as being able to stream from torrents and automatically find the best link. A real-time saver.
